Boston Celtics Hold Off Dallas Mavericks Rally

Celtics Win 106-99 to Take 2-1 Series Lead

The Boston Celtics withstood a furious rally from the Dallas Mavericks to win Game 3 of the NBA Finals 106-99 on Wednesday night. The Celtics now lead the series 2-1.

The Mavericks trailed by 17 points in the third quarter, but they fought back to tie the game with just over two minutes remaining. However, the Celtics hit some big shots down the stretch to pull away with the win.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 26 points, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points and Marcus Smart chipped in with 19 points. Luka Dončić led the Mavericks with 26 points, while Jalen Brunson added 21 points and Dorian Finney-Smith scored 18 points.

The Mavericks will now look to even the series when they host the Celtics in Game 4 on Friday night.
